藝術家創作理念

近年來，我以風景與自然的造形為靈感來源，創作油畫作品。

這次配合展覽主題，選擇風景作為題材，但平時的創作多以自然界中具秩序性的形態為主——例如雲、波、水流、樹影、樹形、結晶、龜裂、生物的紋樣等。

我相信，自然萬象之中，蘊藏著一種秩序之美。

過去的個展中，我曾以 「無為自然」與「天雷無妄」為主題，秉持尊重自然造形、順應天地運行之「道」來創作的理念。

在2023年與2024年的個展中，我的主題為「形而上者，形而下者」。自然界中反覆出現的形態似乎都遵循著某種共通的造形法則，而這些則是來自於不可見的力量作用。

在道教與《易經》中，這些看不見的作用被稱為「形而上」之物，也就是『道』（Tao），萬物的本質與根源。這種「道」是由陰陽之氣的互動所形成。而這種氣的作用所顯現出的現象與形體，便是「形而下」之物，也就是『器』。
我認為，在創作時，有意識地體會這個「形而上」之物，是一件非常重要的事。

Artist Statement

In recent years, I have been producing oil paintings inspired by landscapes and natural formations.

For this exhibition, I created a landscape-themed work in line with the curatorial concept. However, my recent focus has been on exploring the ordered patterns found in nature, such as clouds, waves, flowing water, sunlight filtering through trees, branching structures, crystals, cracks, and biological patterns.

I believe that all phenomena in nature contain a certain aesthetic of order. This concept is central to my practice.

Past solo exhibition themes have included "Wu wei ziran (Effortless Naturalness)" and "Tianlei wuwang (Thunder from a Clear Sky)", which reflect my desire to respect the forms of nature and to create without going against the natural flow—the Dao (Tao), or the fundamental force of the universe.

In 2023 and 2024, my solo shows centered on the theme “Metaphysical and Physical Forms.” Many natural forms appear to be built on common patterns or laws, hinting at unseen forces shaping the visible world.

In Daoism and the I Ching (Book of Changes), this invisible essence is called the metaphysical (形而上者 / xíng ér shàng zhě)—the Dao, the source of all things. What becomes visible through the interaction of yin and yang energy is known as the physical (形而下者 / xíng ér xià zhě)—the vessel, or the manifestation. I view this distinction as fundamental to my artistic approach, and I aim to stay aware of the metaphysical realm when creating.

アーティスト・ステートメント

近年は、風景や自然の造形に着想を得た油彩画を制作しています。

今回は展覧会のテーマにあわせて風景を題材にしましたが、日頃は、自然界に存在する秩序ある形――たとえば、雲、波、水の流れ、木漏れ日、樹形、結晶、ひび割れ、生物の模様など――をモチーフに作品を描いています。
私は、自然界を形づくるあらゆる現象の中に、**何らかの「秩序の美」**が宿っていると感じています。

これまでの個展では、「無為自然」や「天雷无妄」などをテーマに掲げ、天地自然の働き「道」に逆らわず、自然界の造形を尊重して制作することを信条としてきました。

2023年・2024年の個展では、「形而上者、形而下者」をテーマとしました。自然界に現れる形には、共通する秩序やパターンが数多く見られます。それらは、目には見えない力の作用によって生み出されているように思えます。

道教や『易経』では、こうした目に見えないものを「形而上なるもの」＝道（タオ）と呼び、万物の本質・根源としています。それは陰陽の気の相互作用であり、その働きを受けて現れる形ある万物が、「形而下なるもの」＝器です。
私は、制作においてこの「形而上なるもの」を意識することがとても重要だと考えています。
