Biography

WANG MUTI is the first Taiwanese artist to present a solo exhibition at The National Art Center, Tokyo (featured as an "exhibition-within-an-exhibition" solo presentation in an independent display area at the 24th Japan NAU 21st Century Art Coalition Exhibition). He currently serves as the first Taiwanese associate member of the Japan Contemporary Artists Association (Genten) and the first Taiwanese member of the Japan NAU 21st Century Art Coalition Exhibition (inheriting Gutai Art). His works are featured in the primary display position at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum Contemporary Artists Exhibition and are exhibited annually at major venues including The National Art Center, Tokyo; Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum; Yokohama Civic Art Gallery; and prominent galleries in Ginza and Kyobashi, Tokyo.
